Akira was born and raised by an Okinawan mother and a Hawaiian father, Akira lived in Okinawa, Japan until age of 18. She then moved to the United States to further her education and graduating from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Internal Business. Prior to her modeling success, Akira also has a professional successful career in the high-tech industry as a software consultant. She has left her full time employment to pursue her modeling career but still is involved in consulting projects.
The shoots vary from fully-clothed slinkiness to hints of fetishism or images from pure glamour to outright eroticism. In Akira’s words, her shoots are governed by her mood and tries not to let the standards constrain her work.
