Christmas is around the corner and the question of being naughty or nice has aroused. According to this week’s recap, the equation seems to be a bit balanced, now onto the subject at hand….

(Tues. Dec 19) Rapper Eminem and his high school sweetheart Kim Mathers divorced for a second time. Under the terms of the divorce the couple has decided to divide their property and share custody of their 10-year old daughter, Hailie Jade Scott. The couple, who were first married in 1999, divorced for the first time in 2001. They made a second attempt with their second marriage in January of 2006. Unfortunately the second attempt was unsuccessful. Eminem filed for divorce in April of this year. According to the divorce judge, Antonio P. Viviano, the couple conducted themselves with “dignity and respect.” That’s a first for Eminem, surprising!!!

Young Jeezy and Nas have made peace. Well actually, the southern based rapper and Nas recently spoke and reconciled their differences. “He called me. And it was just man to man... He lost his cool and I’ve done it before and we’ve got that right. But it’s all about how you reconcile and how quickly you do it,” said Nas. “I respect that he called me.” After his album’s release this past Tuesday, it is expected to sell between 300,000 and 325,000 copies according to Hits Magazine. If you haven’t already, go ahead and cop that album, it’s a classic!

Rapper Pastor Troy was recently arrested on December 15 after conducting an interview on Hot 107.9. Apparently someone alerted the police who then found that he was wanted in Fayette County. The rapper is currently on probation for not having insurance and driving with a suspended license. However officials could not confirm the reason for his Dec. 15th arrest.

Industry jump off turned author, Carmen Bryan, is said to be working on a reality show which promises to be as revealing as her scandalous book, It’s No Secret. The urge to come forth with HER SIDE of the story came after Jay-Z put out the song, “Is that Your Chick” where he indirectly revealed their secret love affair to the world. “It wasn’t my decision to make this a public affair,” Bryan explains. “When Jay-Z and Nas recorded songs about me, they opened the door. Once I was given the opportunity to tell my story, I jumped at it.” This proposed reality show should be very interesting. Way to put the past behind you Carmen!

Former MTV / BET VJ Ananda Lewis revealed to VIBE her plans to release an album in the coming year! She credits friend Dwayne Wiggins, of the group Tony! Toni! Tone! as her motivator to write and sing. “I’m projecting for April, but we’ll see what happens because it’s really about my own schedule,” said Ananda. “I’ve had a lot of great lessons in the TV field and now I feel like I’m getting a chance to experience myself.” According to Ananda, there are no limitations; at already 6 songs recorded and a goal of 13 she firmly believes that people are ready for different music. Looking forward to it Ananda!

Bad Boy extraordinaire, Sean “Diddy” Combs and long time girlfriend, Kim Porter received their Christmas gifts a bit early this year. Kim gave birth to two healthy baby girls yesterday at 7:56 am inside Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. The couple has decided to name the girls after their grandmothers Jessie Smalls, Combs’ grandmother and Lila Star, Porter’s grandmother. “In honor of two people who have incredibly impacted me and Kim’s lives, we are proud to announce that we are naming the twins after our beloved grandmothers,” Combs said in an emailed statement. Did Kim have a say so in this decision…..my guess is no, she just politely agreed.
