UPDATE! Busta could be sentenced to more than a year in jail for the two assault charges pending. He recently refused a deal that would have allowed him to plead guilty to misdemeanor assault, enroll in an anger management class and do community service, all to avoid potential jail time. This past Monday (Mar. 26) Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Tanya Kennedy retracted a plea deal that was made earlier this year and set a trial date for May 8. That will be Rhymes’ judgment day. I bet he won’t be spitting, kicking or punching anyone up until that day…..well at least I hope not!

UPDATE! Atlantic Records recording artist DG Yola’s recovery looks to be promising according to his family. “He is already up and writing. Yola ain’t gonna let up,” his family said in a statement. He was shot in the face; the bullet went through one cheek and out the other. He is currently recovering in an Atlanta hospital where the doctors are optimistic that he will make a full and speedy recovery. The incident took place in the early morning hours on Saturday, March 24 during a failed robbery attempt. We are keeping you in our prayers DG. His album, Gutta World is set to release this June.

WORD HAS IT…that former G-Unit rapper, The Game, has a warrant out for his arrest after he missed a court appearance in Manhattan this past Thursday. The warrant stems from charges that The Game will face for impersonating a police officer. Allegedly, The Game jumped into a cab and ordered the driver to run several red lights, stating that he was an undercover police officer. During the ride, the driver flagged down an officer and explained the situation and the rapper was placed under arrest. In January, The Game pleaded not guilty to the charges, hence his upcoming trial date on June 13. I mean really, are they really going to punish the man for “saying ”that he was an officer?
If anything they should arrest the cab driver for running all those lights!

UPDATE! The incredible Foxy Brown pleaded surprisingly not guilty to tow misdemeanor charges that stem from a scuffle she was involved in at a beauty supply store in Miami, Florida. According to Foxy she is “going to stand up and fight and take care of this.” I don’t think she should stand up nor fight anything. If anything, that woman needs to be placed in a confined area where she can ventilate her erratic emotions. That’s the reason she’s in the predicament she’s in now, all because she wanted to “stand up” and “fight”!! Her trial date is set for June.

J. LO GETS THE BOOT FROM HER LATIN ROOTS! Yup, The nation’s top Latin music chain, Ritmo Latino accused her of forgetting her roots and banned all J. Lo CD’s from its 50 stores. David Massry, President of Ritmo, stated that J. Lo “has refused personally to promote her new CD in any of our stores.” Just this past Wednesday, Lopez was in the Bronx signing hundreds of autographs at the F.Y.E. record store for fans who purchased new album. “This is a Spanish-language CD and if she wants to discriminate against the Latin Community then we will not sell her product,” said Massry. Although Lopez could not be reached to comment her fans came to her defense.
