Ya girl is back with another edition of the Inside scoop of What’s What in Hip-Hop. This week’s rundown is filled with new news, old news and updated news and reviews. Let’s get right into it, shall we?

UPDATE! Rapper Snoop Dogg avoided a jail sentence when he pleaded no contest to pending charges. These charges stem from an October 26 incident at the Bob Hope Airport. Police approached the rapper for parking in a passenger pick up zone and discovered marijuana in his vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of transportation of a controlled substance and gun possession by a felon after the cops found the weapon in his home. His punishment as a result is 5 years probation and 800 hours of community service. That’s a whole lot of hours…it sure is a Doggy Dogg world!

UPDATE!!! Rapper DMX missed yet another court date in White Plains City Court on Tuesday. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle for driving with a suspended license and was also ticketed for unsafe lane changes violations. This is the second time X missed a court date. He was to initially appear in court last summer to answer the charges and an arrest warrant was issued for the rapper. Judge Brain Hansbury gave the rapper a one-day reprieve but ordered DMX to appear in court Wednesday, April 11 or another warrant would be issued for his arrest.

NEW NEWS!!! Remy Ma is no longer an affiliate of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad! She requested that she be released shortly after the release of her album, There’s Something About Remy. As a free woman, Remy Ma is currently beginning work on her second album entitled Punish-Her. The first track titled “Fresh”, produced by Ron Bowz, should be hitting the airwaves this spring. She is also working on a collaborative effort with other female MC’s, Trina, Charlie Baltimore and Jackie-O. “Hopefully we can get some of the other women in the industry as well, said Remy. “I just want our category back in the Grammy’s so I can win that!!” They do say skies the limit, so keep reaching Remy!

NEW NEWS!!! CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, J. Prince, has found himself in a legal suit after music executive, Ronnie Bookman filed a lawsuit on grounds that he was attacked by seven associates if Prince. According to the suit, Bookman alleges that Prince lured him to the Fresh Recreation Center Gym for a meeting after they were unable to come to an agreement over contracts regarding Prince’s artists. Bookman reportedly suffered brutal head injuries, a broken nose and both of his eyes were swollen and black, one of which will require surgery. According to Prince, “I’ve been falsely accused….I guess this is a new season where drug dealing rats and parasite lawyers are out to extort me.
If anyone with good sense would pull this guy Ronnie Bookman’s record, they would see how bad his credibility stinks. The true facts will be revealed in the court of law.” Now that sounded very authoritative. I’ll be sure to keep you posted with that case.

OLD NEWS & REVIEWS!!! I know you all have heard but Jay-Z’s secret love child. Basically Jay-Z messed around with a woman named Shenelle Scott, she got pregnant and he paid her $1 million to keep his name off of the birth certificate. Pictures of this little boy have circulated the web and other publications. In an exclusive interview with Hip Hop Weekly, Scott discusses her relationship with Jay and how the man on her son’s birth certificate is not the child’s father. Sounds like a damn merry-go-round to me. Why doesn’t Jay-Z do a paternity test and end this madness.
