INDUSTRY INSIDER-
The Inside Scoop on this week in Hip Hop.

Week of: 7/9-7/13
Written By: Natalie Hinds

I’m bizzack! Here to entice you with another edition of the Inside Scoop of What’s What in the world of Hip-Hop. This week’s rundown includes some interesting information; some news about people we haven’t heard from in a while as well as our frequent headliners that seem to be featured on this list on a regular basis. Let’s get right into it!

USHER AIN’T HAV’IN IT ANYMORE! That’s right! He issued a statement to set the record straight about his new fiancé and their baby on the way:
“It has already been announced that I plan to marry this year. However, since my wedding day will be special to Tameka and I, this is information that we’d like to keep private. It’s disturbing that the media and the bloggers (under a guise as ‘fans’) continuously speculate on the personal aspects of my life, therefore making assumptions and wrong insinuations that my fans are subject to believe. I am happy, excited, completely clear and independent on my direction, feelings, decisions and I am NOT BEING LED. Some media
and bloggershave been totally intrusive, they have misconstrued aspects of my personal life and because of this, my ‘true’ fans are not sure about what is fact and what is fiction. There is a difference in stating an opinion versus drawing a conclusion that is incorrect…” So for those of you who thought that he was being “brain-washed” that statement right there was to prove to you all that he isn’t. Or at least have you under the impression that he isn’t.

With no Kim Porter by his side anymore, Diddy is on a hunt for a new Personal Assistant through YouTube. According to his posting, “…What better job than to have me scream at you, go crazy, keep you up late hours, have you sleep deprived…if this job interests you, upload your video interview why you should be my assistant.” Ooooo sounds enticing Diddy! What better way to lure someone into becoming your personal slave!

T.I’s TEMPER FLAIRS AGAIN! He reportedly struck a fan with his microphone during a performance at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Tuesday night (July 10). Rumor has it that the fan wasn’t too impressed with T.I’s performance; as a result he threw a cup on stage which provoked the Atlanta rapper to show his “mean side.” It hasn’t been confirmed whether or not the fan has filed a complaint, but he was escorted out of the building bleeding. So what now T.I? Have you been watching Akon’s performances recently?

In KNOWLES CLAN NEWS, Granddaddy Manager, Matthew Knowles and daughter Solange are planning to launch a ‘hip-hop toy line.’ Knowles’ music company, Music World Entertainment has teamed up with Planet Toys to launch Baby Jamz, the first-ever hip-hop rhythm inspired pre-school toy line. Knowles admits that his grandson, Juelz served as his “inspiration” to put this idea into play. “… I am especially excited that most of the nursery rhymes are sung by my daughter, Solange.” So Beyonce must be singing the other few huh? I can’t discredit the man; he’s got a mean hustler’s mentality.
