Fiasco album apparently sold only 58,000 units it's first week. There
is a posting on the Atlantic Records message boards . On the post
the person going by "Lupe" disputes the 58,000 units sold
for Fiasco's debut album "Food & Liquor". The post
says: "hahahaha....hi my peoples...actually this weeks
Billboards numbers are off because of an error!!!...Best Buy hadn't
turned in their sales...I must remind I was the number #1 seller at
Best Buy this week...the numbers without Best Buy stand at 57,000...the
new numbers will be out this Friday after they turn in...hahahahaha...GOD
IS GREAT!!!!" ONE WORD: GRASPING.
other news, Bone Crusher has set the weight loss record for VH1's hit
reality show, "Celebrity Fit Club." He's currently on the
show's fourth season and after 16 grueling weeks of strict dieting,
intense physical challenges and exercise, he's lost 43 pounds. And there
is still one episode to go. "Everyone wants to know how I lost
all the weight," said Bone Crusher. "I'll tell them it's a
lot of hard work and a few of my favorite recipes. I had no idea what
I was getting into, but it's a lot of fun. I've changed the way I eat
and I'm seeing and feeling real results." Great job Crusher! Congratulations!
Foxxx vs Rakim? Freddy Foxxx a.k.a. Bumpy Knuckles is calling out
the God. The song is called "The King Is Down" and appears on
his new LP, Amerikkkan Black Man. "I will eat Rakim's ass alive on
any record, any stage," Bumpy Knuckles asserted recently. "When
I finish with him, every bit of legendary status he had is gonna go out
the window. I swear on everything I stand on, I will eat that n---a alive,
bar by bar. I'll tell him to his mutha----in' face." As Mtv reports
according to Foxxx, it dates back to the '80s in Wyandanch, New York,
where Foxxx's rap crew "Supreme Force" used to battle with Rakim's
team "The Love Brothers". This was before Eric B. and Rakim.
"We got a history, you know. We got a real long history," Foxxx
explained. "We from the same part of town. Ra has always had an attitude
towards me that he was better than me on the mic and more successful.
How dare he think he can out-rhyme me. He has one style, that's all he's
ever had. What
really got Foxxx upset, he said, was a Q&A with Rakim he read on hip-hop
Web site Halftime Online. Rakim was asked about a battle that supposedly
took place back in the day between the Love Brothers and Supreme Force
never f---ing turned down a battle with that mutha----er!" Rakim
is quoted as saying. Foxxx, you can front on the whole world, but you
not fronting on me, n---a. ... Foxxx wasn't ferocious like that. Foxxx
had two other cats that used to rhyme with him. They were a good group,
but Foxxx wasn't ferocious like that baby pa." "I
read the article and it set me off," Foxxx said. "He said I'm
'not ferocious.' How dare he? His ego kicked in. I said I'm gonna let
the world who he really is. People are only calling him a legend because
of what he did with Eric B. Everything after that was wack. Nobody will
say it to his face." Foxxx
said he's not sure when the dis record will be coming out, but his LP
is slated for sometime in February.
is really a waste of jail space. I mean come on!
Royce Da 5'9, has been sentenced to one year in prison after violating
his probation, stemming from a charge of driving under the influence
(DUI). The rapper was arrested and charged with DUI over the summer
in his hometown of Oakland County, Michigan. He was sentenced to one
year in jail, but may have a chance to challenge the judge's decision,
which supporters have deemed as "harsh".
That's it for this
week peeps, IM OUT
